After St. Patrick’s day and Seachtain na Gaeilge we focusded an event on Irish language technology. As a celebration of our fine national language we want to share some of the work being done on NLP and speech synthesis.

Abigail Walsh PhD Researcher, ADAPT Centre, DCU

Abigail's research aims to improve automatic processing of Irish multiword expressions (MWEs). Using machine learning methods to train systems capable of MWE discovery and identification, with the goal of enhancing Irish language parsers and other text processing tools.
